Unpopular decision
Oct. 27th, 2011 10:52 pmI've recently made the unpopular decision to stretch my last year of university into 2 years.
I don't feel ready. I can't go through the application process, manage great grades, have a job and volunteer. I just can't do it, not to mention references! I'm just finding the whole process really frustrating and really mysterious, its not straight forward at all.
Needless to say I'm not taking a full course load for once in my university career and boy is it a relief!
I have time to volunteer and have work on the side, without feeling like I'll die at any moment, so far life is good and I'm wondering why I killed myself in the first three years when there were people cruising along the entire time, but what is past is past.
I was a little worried how my GPA was going to be calculated and to my utter and all consuming relief , they look at your last 10 senior courses. I'm so happy right now I can shout from a roof top, but since I can't do that, I'll write this instead.

I don't know about anyone else, but my senior credits are good relative to my other credits. This might mean that I might actually not have done something wrong for once, that I have a fighting chance at doing something with my life and not being a total failure.
I'm just overwhelmingly relieved at the moment. Something finally works out in my favour!
